![]() ![]() The Banner Saga’s Stoic Studio is said to be the developer but, if it does show up, we’re curious to see if it’s a pure Xbox exclusive or if it will come to other platforms at all. We can see this being among Microsoft’s smaller announcements as it’s described as a Dragon’s Crown style side-scrolling beat ‘em-up, albeit one with some potentially pretty Princess Mononoke inspired visuals. Around the same time, the pair leaked accurate details for Obsidian’s Pentiment, which wouldn’t be formally announced for another seven months, so it stands to reason that Project Belfry exists too. Project Belfry was among several Xbox games leaked in 2021 by Jeff Grubb and Windows Central’s Jez Corden. It’s believed that its Transformers Rise project has morphed into Transformers Reactivate at London studio Splash Damage, and there’s been little word on its PvPvE extraction shooter Last Expedition, which is some blockchain related nonsense, so we have little faith it’ll actually come out. This 2022 rumour claims such a project is in the works at Certain Affinity, which is bets known for working on multiplayer for the Halo series, including Halo Infinite.Īs far as we know, the studio isn’t especially busy with anything else. EA’s take on the concept, Wild Hearts, was apparently a sales success so it makes sense that Microsoft might want to commission its own Monster Hunter. Given the popularity of Capcom’s Monster Hunter series, we’re a bit surprised other studios didn’t start making their own versions sooner. ![]() Monster Hunter World – better Microsoft make its own copy than just buy Capcom (Picture: Capcom)
